Managing a business is easier with a specialized program. Instead of working with heaps of paper, you can organize everything on a computer, with only a few clicks. This is the functionality that vBook has to offer. The program is designed to help with the business part of art. Artists can use it to catalog their paintings, manage exhibitions, create invoices and much more.

vBook is free to try, without any restrictions, for 30 days. Its setup file is about 75 MB, which may take some time to download, especially with a slow Internet connection. Fortunately, the installation process is quick and it does not involve any complex settings. The software is available for Windows and Mac OS X, as well as iOS-powered devices.

The program allows you to manage various aspects of the painting business on separate windows, within the main user interface. You can access various management features from a main menu window. The available managers can help you organize your contacts, works, exhibitions, invoices, press releases and your accounting records. Once you access one of these managers, you can jump to another one without returning to the main menu.

All managers consist of two or more sections, in which you can view a list of your records and edit new or existing ones. In all cases, editing a record or creating a new one involves filling in a series of input fields and selecting predefined characteristics in drop menus. You can also insert pictures for contact or work entries.

The entries you create in certain managers can be used as resources in other managers. For example, if you add one or more paintings to your database, you can insert them instantly in a list, along with their descriptions, when scheduling a new exhibition or when creating a new invoice.

Pros

You can manage works of art, contacts, invoices and much more. Works of art, contacts or other elements can be added to the database without too much effort. Also, the program allows you to use them as resources when creating other entries.

Cons

The window within a window approach makes the user interface a bit uncomfortable. With vBook, artists can focus on their creative work instead of spending most of their time managing invoices or other business-related details.
